Turmeric Pancakes

 

Turmeric pancakes with spiced humus, avocado and Jones Ferments.

Pancake day doesn't need to be boring, or predictable. It creates a fabulous savoury base to enjoy fermented food. Delicious and nutritious 

 Ingredients for pancakes

  • 300g plain flour

  • 1½ tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp ground turmeric

  • 4 eggs

  • Salt

  • 600ml whole milk

  • About 70g unsalted butter (or ghee)

 Ingredients for humus

  • Chickpeas or butter beans one tin

  • A good pinch of salt

  • Lemon juice, chilli fakes, cumin

  • Olive oil to reach the desired consistency

  • Whiz together

Slice up an avocado and build up the dish topping with Jones smoked sauerkraut and a sprinkle of totasted pumpkin seeds
