Turmeric Milk - The Soothing Drink
Working turmeric into your diet is a big win. Not only is it colourful and flavourful but has potent antioxidants and fights inflammation. Our new Apple Cider Vinegar with Turmeric and Honey is a great way to get your daily dose in the morning. Alternatively, if you are an evening person we love this comforting recipe that gives you a hug from the inside, and a little help to get a restful nights sleep.
Ingredients
2 cups of milk (any variant will do. If you are looking for a dairy alternative we like cashew milk with its natural sweetness)
Turmeric (1 teaspoon)
Pinch of black pepper (to help the body absorb the powerful curcumin found in turmeric)
Something sweet. 1-2 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
Options - a touch of cinnamon, ginger, chilli, vanilla, or coconut oil
Process
Bring your choice of milk to the boil
Add the turmeric and the black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes
Stir in the ‘something sweet’ and your ‘options’
Serve in your favourite mug, relax and enjoy
